Team coordinator workshop

The Big Picture:

We are a growing company specialising in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of rotating industrial machinery, both electrical and mechanical. These include electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, generators, steam turbines, turbochargers, piston compressors and expanders. We operate at the customer’s premises or in one of our sites.

We are now looking for a team coördinator who is responsible for organising the daily activities of several teams within the workshop in Ghent. You are responsible for the operational coordination of the production activities and for achieving production targets within your department.

What needs to be done?

• You are responsible for organising the activities of your team

• You plan, determine actions and priorities for your department in order to achieve the intended objectives; you allocate activities and responsibilities to the team coordinators and their team members; you distribute activities among the team members where necessary

• You monitor and control the smooth running of the work in terms of quality, quantity, safety regulations, delivery deadlines and costs

• You monitor the KPIs (cost, performance, quality, etc.) and take the necessary corrective measures to achieve them

• You coach the employees, manage them, motivate and develop them and bring them to top performance, by systematically giving feedback, examining the causes of successes and failures together with them, researching possibilities for improvement and giving further instructions

What do you need to bring?

• You have a higher degree (bachelor) or equivalent through experience in a technical direction, preferably in maintenance techniques, mechanics, electro-mechanics

• You have very good communication skills, both written and oral (Dutch, French, English)

• You have at least 5 years of experience in a technical position.

• You have a very good feeling for the needs and requirements of the customer and the operational department

• You are strong in organising your own work and the work of others;

• You have experience in a job where organisation, flexibility and independence are important

• You have passion for your job and are interested in the latest developments in your field

• You are a team player, but can also work well independently, your strong communication skills will help you with this
