Description

  • Manage the allocation of claims within their Complex team of adjusters
  • Provide a technical referral point for team members and manage performance
  • Managing Claims Handling and Execute strategic initiatives
  • Ensure claims are accurately assessed and proactively reserved within agreed service levels
  • Mitigation of indemnity and expense spend for Complex claims within their team
  • Performance manage the team to maximise best practice compliance and minimise lost economic opportunity
  • Managing compliance with governance standards and regulatory requirements

Your profile

  • Between 10 and 15 years’ experience in claims handling, which has enabled you to develop technical expertise in specialist insurance claims
  • Policy language skills enabling accurate and consistent policy wording interpretation
  • People and team management experience in a great asset
  • Excellent knowledge of Dutch, French, English
  • A strong knowledge of legal / regulatory and litigation / procedural requirements
  • Ability to positively influence, in a multi-cultural environment, stakeholders at every level both internally & externally
  • Highly effective communicator (written, verbal, presentation, training)
  • Ability to deliver strategic directives internally while also marketing AIG claims expertise externally
  • Experience in negotiation, mediation, arbitration and ADR skills
