Mission

  • Reporting directly to the Head of the Customer Team Capital Goods
  • Technical-commercial management of a specific business portfolio within the Capital Goods segment
  • Starting from the existing product offer for Aperam’s Capital Goods markets, he/she supports the Aperam sales network to search for and develop new markets and applications
  • Following technical evolutions and supporting the usage of our products by customers that will determine the final selection of Stainless Steel as a material
  • Identification of prospects in dedicated (Capital Goods) market segments for future business
  • Management of certain projects for key accounts (technical support)

Main accountabilities

  • Provide technical and operational support to Aperam’s customer portfolio as the technical referent
  • Ensure the technical link between the customer and the industrial entities
  • Ensure product development towards these customers
  • Manage quality performance and customer technical claims
  • Contribute to Supply Chain and logistics solutions
  • Be the technical referent for the internal commercial stakeholders (Research, Business Development, Metallurgy and industrial entity quality department)
  • Be the correspondent of Aperam Service & Solutions for technical-commercial matters
  • Detection of potential new solutions for existing markets or existing solutions for new markets in cooperation with business development
  • Steer the entire process of: Evaluation of technical specifications | Audit management of certain customers and their stakeholders | Sampling and trial orders
  • Capability to give material selection recommendations towards customers, develop solutions, primarily within the framework of the possibilities of the mills

Competences

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Fluent in English / French and/or Dutch useful, and any other language welcome
  • Strong technical skills with knowledge of sales and marketing
  • Open minded / Teamplayer / Flexible / Proactive / Organizational skills
  • Preferably Genk based
  • European and overseas travel on a fairly frequent basis
  • Knowledge of stainless steel and other materials, and their applications
  • Compliance oriented person
  • Digital skills (data mining, internal collaborative tools, e-business,...)
  • Business experience recommended (2 - 5y of relevant experience on development business in B2B environment preferably)
