For one of our clients, we are looking for Technology Expert - Data Engineering

Languages:ENG (mandatory)

Employment Type:Permanent or Freelance

Start date:ASAP

Responsibilities:

  • Design, test and implementation of data pipelines
  • Provide support to implement a methodology for tracking research results and support the activities linked to the dissemination of their impacts
  • Integration of various external sources: API, webpages, CSVs, JSON, XML, etc;
  • Record linkage, selection of best comparison algorithms and classification of the result
  • Analysis of data quality issues, cleansing and wrangling of data
  • Batch processing of large and very large datasets
  • Data modelling

Requirements:

  • A minimum number of years of professional experience in the field of 7 years.
  • Strong expertise in Python, object oriented programming would be an asset
  • Strong expertise in data integration and record linkage (Record linkage or Dedupe packages)
  • Data quality and data profiling experience (Great Expectations package or other)
  • Relational database systems applied to data warehouse
  • Data pipeline architecture, hands on experience in setting up workflows using Luigi or Airflow
  • Expertise with git and version control
  • Machine learning experience to cluster/classify data using supervised and unsupervised algorithms would be an asset
  • Big data technologies, experience with batch processing in HTCondor would be an asset
  • Experience in setting up big data cloud environments (AWS EMR, Azure Databricks) would be an asset
  • Graph database and Linked Open Data experience would be an asset
  • Rapid self-starting capability
  • Ability to work in a team, integrate and work in an international/multi-cultural environment, on large projects
  • Ability to work with a high degree of rigor and method and, more specifically, to follow naming conventions and coding standards
  • Details and quality oriented
