WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND PLACE OF WORK
You are part of a permanent department, but if the planning requires this (or in the context of training and refreshment), you can provide support to the other department within the group of operations.
It is important that the Terminal Operator is trained (internally and/or externally) for the tasks that need to be carried out. Initially with a focus on the tasks and activities within the department in which the Terminal Operator is employed.
Afterwards, the activities of the other departments are also added. A training plan and competency matrix keeps track of who can be deployed for which activity. It is the company’s ambition to make everyone as widely employable as possible in the long term.
In addition to flexibility for the organization, this also provides a more varied range of tasks, which makes the work varied and more pleasant. Moreover, this way of working ensures unity and contributes positively to the group atmosphere between the different departments.
People in LBC are complementary to each other, based on different backgrounds, ways of thinking and how to approach/resolve matters.
