Test Engineer

The role of QA Engineer and be part of the Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) service line based in Mons, Belgium or The Hague, Netherlands.

The role:

The NCI Agency’s Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) Service Line is responsible for ensuring that all Agency products, capabilities and services have been verified by an impartial team, ensuring that they are interoperable, fit for purpose and use, and ready to be made available to customers.

As part of the Test & Evaluation team the Test Engineer will be responsible for the testing of projects, services, exercises and interoperability events. Being part of a distributed the Test Engineer will also provide additional system administration services, in conjunction with the facilities section, in support of test and reference environments.

About you:

Able to decide and take action you are comfortable establishing great relationships with customers and peers and able to plan and organise exceptionally well. You deliver results and exceed customer expectations for quality and quantity whilst working in a systematic, methodical and orderly way, consistently achieving project goals. Further to this, you have:

• Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline (such as, Electronics Engineering or Information Systems) with 3 years post related experience;
• Experience as a tester or independent verification and validation engineer, during all phases of the project lifecycle;
• Experience using test and test management tools such as HP ALM, IBM Rational, TestRail or similar; Experience configuring and using Windows and Unix;
• Experience with virtualization technologies;
• Knowledge of networking.
• An ISTQB Certification
• Experience with MS-Exchange and SharePoint;
• Experience in the implementation of ITIL Service Management;
• Ideally prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements;
