What is our mission?

The Upstream Controlling team, based in Genk and Châtelet, is the finance business

partner to the upstream operations of Aperam Stainless Europe, including two steel

plants, a hot rolling mill, and the raw material sourcing activities.

What will you be doing?

The Upstream Controller is responsible for raw material controlling and plant costs

controlling, supporting both the upstream operations and the Group’s corporate

finance. He/She:

● Prepares forecasts and budgets

● Provides support on monthly closings and performs financial analyses

● Manages the hedging process of foreign exchange exposures

● Measures Sourcing’s performance

● Assesses the total cost of ownership / profitability of specific projects

● Responsible for Aperam‘s raw material efficiency value add in Europe

● Ensures a total cost of ownership approach for the decisions made in the steel

plants and the hot rolling mill.

What are we looking for?

● Bachelor or Master degree.

● At least a 5-year experience in finance (in the metal industry is a plus).

● Fluent in English. French and/or Dutch are an asset.

● At ease with IT tools.

● Analytical and reliable.

● Team player.

● Willing to learn, to challenge and to be challenged.

● Results oriented and organized.
