EU Commission seeks one Architect – Web Applications with specific expertise in managing Digital Business Solutions.

Languages:ENG (mandatory) and Dutch/ French (Good to have)

Employment Type:Permanent or Freelance

Start date:ASAP

Responsibilities:

  • Non-exhaustive list of the tasks to be carried out:
  • Architecture and design of information systems
  • Review of the architecture of existing systems
  • Design and development of architecture components and building blocks (back-end/frontend)
  • Analysis of the integration of different information systems
  • Data analysis and data modelling
  • Coordination of the implementation of the technical architecture
  • Technical interface between the project leaders and the developers
  • Production of software architecture documents
  • Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users
  • Assistance during relevant parts of testing, analysis, technical documentation, deployment, evaluation and reporting
  • Implementation and development of key features

Requirements:

  • In depth knowledge of Web applications design
  • In depth knowledge of: Java/JEE: JDK 8, Java EE 7, Hibernate, JDBC,
  • Web: Angular,
  • Frameworks: Spring,
  • Excellent knowledge of: Web: XML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, TypeScript, Prototype JS
  • Frameworks: Vaadin, Experience with CMIS compliant tool (Alfresco, Apache chemistry…)
  • Build tool: Maven
  • Testing: Junit
  • IDE: Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA
  • Application server: WebLogic 12
  • Database: Oracle 11g and SQL (PL/SQL is an asset)
  • Methodologies: RUP, Agile
  • Capability to write clear and structured technical documents.
