Are you a talented Construction Supervisor?

• Being on the construction site constantly in order to ensure that set standards are adhered to.
• Providing direction to all contractors.
• Planning coordinating, recommending and implementing the construction designs.
• Formulating the construction plan.
• Formulating a maintenance plan.
• Working with other supervisors in the construction site in order to determine the working priorities.
• Negotiating with contracting companies in order to get sufficient equipment and personnel necessary to complete the construction work in good time.
• Preparing schedules and assigning work to construction personnel.
• Ensuring that the construction work is completed in good time and that the set budget is adhered to.
• Focusing on safety and ensuring that all workers adher to set safety standards.
• Determing work methods that result to improved efficiency and productivity in the work place.
• Supervising the economical completion of the project.
• Ensuring that the construction authorities approve the reports, records, timesheets, and invoices.
• Ensure all safety precautions are followed by the construction workers:
  • Communicate and follow-up implementation of company rules and policies to subcontractors.
  • Obtain necessary licenses and/or work permits.
  • Monitor compliance with set regulations on client site.
• Develop and execute construction quality plan to ensure client standards are followed:
  • Define set of critical quality check.
  • Follow-up of design and construction of the equipment at the vendor.
  • Coordinate & organize quality checks.
  • Pre start-up inspections.
• General construction coordination:
  • Overseeing delivery of materials, construction tools and equipment.
  • Prepare and steer installation works in operations.
  • Coordinate activities between subcontractors and resolve any disputes that may arise on the construction site.
  • Change management for vendors.
  • Own punch list execution.
• Ensure construction work is completed on schedule and within budget:
  • Manage vendors from a schedule and cost point of view.
  • Monitor & report progress in the construction site.
  • Responisble for efficient use of labor, machines and materials.
• Contribute to the commissioning and qualification plan development and execution.

• Bachelor or Master in Construction or a level of expertise in the construction industry.
• You are able to issue clear directions to construction workers.
• Proven ability to work with people of different disciplines.
• Sound technical knowledge.
• Workoble knowledge of scope, budget, schedule and quality control techniques.
• VCA-VOL
• You have good communications skills and can work in a team.
• English and French speaking and writing.
