Responsibilities: As a member of the Inter-Regional Transport Excellence (IRTE) leadership team, the Director Segment Inter-Regional Transport Operations is accountable for crafting, implementing and leading inter-regional freight processes to improve overall transport reliability and visibility globally, with a focus on Janssen, Consumer, and Vaccines. The Director leads workstreams to establish effective cross-regional transport processes, assesses inter-regional transport operational capabilities, and develops / implements cross-regional transportation continuous improvement program for quality and cost. The Director leads all aspects of operations for Johnson & Johnson inter-region transport lanes, ensuring consistent product availability and highest levels of customer experience, driving improvement, and reporting of reliability for inter-region transportation lanes. For strategic transportation lanes, the Director partners with Distribution and Planning to drive end to end process optimization to improve lead-times. The Director will be responsible for transitioning the Covid 19 manual transportation activities to base business processes at the appropriate time, in alignment with the Supply Chain, ensuring a seamless transition from a transportation perspective. As the Operational Product Owner for the Global Transportation Control Tower, the Director plays a key role in the design of the 4PL control tower operation and will drive End to End cross regional processes from the dock of the shipping Manufacturing/Distribution Centers to the dock of the receiving Distribution Centers. As the Operational Process Owner for Global Transportation Sourcing Events, the Director partners with Global Logistics Procurement to implement Supplier Relationship Management. For Global Transportation Sourcing Events, the Director is responsible for driving requirements, vendor selection and implementation of changes across the J&J network. The Director owns driving transportation strategy to ensure quality, compliance, customer service, financials are aligned with segment partners. Additional responsibilities include leading critical Segment and Deliver initiatives, including projects, new launches, network changes and day to day operational priorities. Collaborating to ensure new product introductions (NPI) transition to base business / standard operations with no risk to customer service, acting as the global leader and ensuring the team supports NPIs are key activities within the role. Finally the Director will drive strategy for cold chain and Global Security for Janssen, Consumer, Vaccine including items such as (not limited to) temperature control, shippers, sensors, monitoring, lane mapping, and the like, as well as partner with Partnership/External Supply team, CMOs and Internal sites to ensure standardization for transportation across the supply chain and alignment in strategy. Qualifications A minimum of 10 years overall business experience is required, preferably with a focus in Deliver Operations, Strategy, and management of large programs. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required. An advanced degree MBA or Master’s Degree is preferred Expertise across core global transportation or distribution and carrier/3PL management processes, contracts, and relationships is required Strong business acumen and understanding of the end-to-end supply chain is required Demonstrated skill in influencing and collaboration within and across organizations, globally and at all organizational levels Big picture orientation with ability to represent broader supply chain thinking Primary Location Belgium-Antwerp-Beerse- Organization Janssen Pharmaceutica N.V.
