We offer a position within our Life Science Team for a motivated sales specialist who is looking to take the next step in her/his career :

(q)PCR Field Application Specialist - combined Instrument Specialist (m/f/d)

Field based : Territory to cover Belgium and GD Luxembourg

Responsibilities

  • Sustain, develop and grow market share of qPCR instruments and related reagents/plastics
  • Develop new market opportunities and guide the sales team to find them
  • Sales discussions, demos, training and support of existing and new customers
  • To provide market & competitor information and activities as well as customer feedback to Management (Sales and Marketing)
  • Reporting Sales Forecasts whenever needed
  • Identifying long term strategic as well as tactical short term plans for the territory
  • To maintain a high level of customer service and promote the company, its products, services and activities at all levels within the market place
  • Building business relationship with key decision makers and opinion leaders, building new reference customers
  • To acquire and maintain product, technical and application knowledge.
  • Make use of Strategic Selling methodologies
  • Maintain a collaborative working relationship with internal, cross-functional colleagues
  • Represent the Company professionally, ethically and morally at all times.

Qualifications

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Good organization/time management skills: ability to work independently as part of a team, effectively plan and handle multiple projects simultaneously; ability to prioritise and work effectively to deadlines
  • Able to identify and qualify sales opportunities by personal meetings in the field. Converting opportunities to closed deals in line with the international sales process. Documenting market info (account/contact/asset/opportunity/competitor) in SFDC.
  • Ability to prioritise and work effectively to deadlines
  • Self-motivated and self-directed individual who enjoys a challenging and dynamic work environment
  • Bilingual (Dutch/French) and very good knowledge of English
  • Team player
  • MS Office and CRM proficiency

Education

  • Master or PhD in (Molecular) Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or Genomics related disciplines

Experience

  • Profound and practical experience in (q)PCR or even in Digital Droplet PCR , especially Gene Expression – both instrumental and applicative
  • Preferred 3 to 5 years sales experience

Environment / Working Conditions

  • Will be travelling >90% across Belgium and GD Luxembourg
