The Position
We are looking for a Global Manager Automation Technologyin our Tech Supply team. This person will work in close collaboration with the Global Innovation & Technology teams and various automation suppliers and OEMs to develop our automation strategy and design for various innovation projects.
The role is based in our European HQ in Leuven, Belgium.
Here’s what you would be doing
- Work with the CAPEX and other project teams in the zones to provide automation expertise during the implementation of Global Innovation & Technology projects around the world.
- Develop SOP’s and training material for all automation components that are delivered with the innovation projects.
- Provide operation and maintenance training for automation components delivered with the project to the zone and site maintenance teams. (example: HMI, VFDs, SCADA, Data Systems..)
- Travel to sites in our zones when necessary to work directly with site technicians or vendors to remediate automation issues associated with innovation projects.
- Provide all the necessary documentations, specifications, and testing results necessary to include any new automation components that was delivered with the innovation project into the ABI Global Technical Specification "GTS".
- Provide input into the development of the scale out plan for an innovation project after the pilot is completed. This include the building of automation toolkits that will be used by the zones for full deployment.
- Work in collaboration with other Connected Brewery & Automation team members to ensure automation components are aligned with the Tech Supply data, OT Network and Cyber Security strategy.
- Participate in multiple scrum meetings during the development and implementation phases of the innovation project.
You probably have these key skills and experiences
- You have an undergraduate or Masters degree in Computer Science or Electrical, Industrial, Automation, Computer Engineering
- You have a minimum of 3-5 Years of experience working in a manufacturing environment as an automation expert
- You have experience with implementing plant floor system applications interfaces to PLCs, SCADA, with PLC & SCADA design, configuration and programming experience an asset
- You have knowledge of communication interfaces to PLCs (OPC UA, MQTT)
- You have knowledge of PLC communication networks, Valves, VFD, Motors, Switch Gears and other automation components
- You are familiar with ISA95, S88 and the core switches, firewall, VLAN; VM Ware, Ethernet IP stack, OPC UA, Microsoft Servers, Active Directory
- You can multi-task and make fast, effective decisions
- You have strong verbal and written communication skills
- You are highly organized and know when to escalate issues and roadblocks
- Project management and Agile Scrum methodology experience would be an asset
