Overview:
KEMIN ANIMAL NUTRITION AND HEALTH – EMENA is seeking an Innovation Specialist (Herentals based).

As a member of the Product Innovation Team, you will be responsible for discovering, researching and developing new molecules, formulations and processes that benefit animal feed and/or livestock.

Responsibilities:
What you’ll be doing:

  • Execute and elaborate PIP projects according to defined Critical to Quality (CTQ) parameters, timelines, and project charter
  • Preparation of experimental prototypes
  • Evaluation of new raw materials
  • Planning and execution of experiments
  • Processing of experimental results and contribution to scientific reports (short communication)
  • Contribute to monthly technical updates
  • Complete and timely input of data in electronic lab notebooks
  • Continued education by relevant training courses and workshops
  • Participate to cross functional teams within the R&D matrix structure
  • Practical guidance of internships
  • Calibration and maintenance of equipment
  • All responsibilities and authorizations listed in system procedures and internal guidelines of the quality management system
Qualifications:
What we expect of you:
  • Bachelor’s degree in science
  • Expertise in the areas of chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, biotechnology and process technologies
  • Basic understanding of common analytical techniques like GC-MS, HPLC
  • Problem-solving skills when carrying out experiments, and the ability to find creative solutions
  • Tenacity and patience, to see research projects through from design to completion
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good team player
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Enthusiastic, accurate in execution and reporting
  • Fluent in English (writing and oral communication)
