Our client, a leading company in the chemical sector based in Nivelles, is currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Logistics Department Manager.
As a Logistics Department Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Supervising and coordinating all logistics operations related to national and international inbound and outbound transport
- Developing a strategic vision for the transport organization of finished products.
- Managing internal material flows with safety as the top priority.
- Optimizing transport processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Managing relationships with transport providers and suppliers.
- Leading and training a team of logistics professionals.
- Ensuring compliance with transport and safety regulations.
- Using and developing transport management systems (TMS) to enhance visibility and operational follow-up.
About you :
- Degree in logistics, transport, or a related field (e.g. Engineering, Supply Chain).
- 5+ years of experience in a similar position
- Strong knowledge of mono-, bi-, and trimodal transport operations and international regulations.
- Proficiency in logistics management tools and TMS software.
- Fluent in French and English
- Strong people management and team development skills
