Position Summary
The role of Manager, Network Business Solutions is to manage and oversee Network Delivery Requests for Manufacturing, Logistics and Laboratory (MLL) environments as well as co-ordination of global business requests, involving multiple regions (e.g. acquisitions and divestitures).
The scope covers all aspects of Voice and Data Networking including traditional Data requests, UCC, IPT, Contact Centers, and Wi-Fi and may include global requests in addition to regionally specific. The role is responsible for understanding and addressing business requirements, building solutions which comply with J&J standards and coordinating in-house resources, capacity teams, outsourced teams and vendors to ensure cost-effective and on-time delivery of solutions that meet business partner’s requirements. The role will also be responsible for effective communication with business partners and stakeholders across multiple geographies. When required, the role may become involved with operational support related to the delivered solution.
For other (non-MLL) global business projects, the focus of the role is to act as a “go to” person and to ensure work is coordinated and properly resourced across the Regional Delivery teams and vendor resources. This will require building strong partnerships with the other Global Networking teams, key business partners and vendors.
The role will supervise and oversee outsourced resources including Regional Capacity teams and outsourced Network engineers and may be required to manage a small sub-team of Network Solutioning specialists, which will include people management in addition to coordinating the team’s work and resources.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee, manage and resource MLL Network requests from Intake to operational handover ensuring cooperation and communication with key stakeholders and vendor resources. This includes pre-project consulting, solution requirements gathering and developing solutions compliant with J&J architectural standards, working with the Global Engineering team to design non-standard solutions when required, implementation planning and execution utilizing the appropriate internal and external resources (Ordering & Quoting team);
Change Management team; Capacity team; vendor resources) and ensuring full involvement of business partners and communication to all stakeholders.
Manage service introduction, hypercare, documentation, operational handover and if necessary, provide support for operational issues.
Coordinate and oversee non-MLL, global business Network requests from Intake to operational handover, ensuring cooperation and communication with key stakeholders and vendor resources. Ensure these requests are fully resourced with appropriate involvement of the Network Regional Delivery teams. Liaise between business partners and internal/external Network resources to ensure timely reporting and communications, business goals are being addressed and issues are dealt with.
Build good working relationships with business partners to understand, develop and improve processes, build visibility of requests in the pipeline, intake work and address issues and concerns.

Backup and support roles and functions in the Network team to ensure delivery of consistent customer service
