We are recruiting for a Scientist for the Department of Analytical Development - Clinical Release and Stability, located in Beerse, Belgium. The Clinical Release and Stability (CRS) team is a critical part of the Analytical Development department in the Chemical and Product Development and Supply (CPDS) organization within Janssen R&D and strives for a fully scientific understanding of the stability behaviour of Drug Substance (DS) and Drug Product (DP) for small molecules and new modalities by designing, execution and interpretation of tailored stability studies. Additionally, CRS is responsible for (non-) clinical release and manufacturing/characterization support of DS and DP from phase I up to registration. For this laboratory-based position, the successful candidate will work together with project leads and analytical development teams to support the analytical work for several development projects starting from early development support up to registration. Additionally, the candidate will gain full understanding of several analytical techniques. The Scientist will be the ‘go-to’ person when it comes down to analytical questions related to the assigned development projects/work packages. Key areas of responsibilities: Perform analysis in support of product characterization, release and stability. Main focus will be on Liquid Chromatography coupled with Mass Spectrometry followed by other applicable analytical techniques. Perform scientific data aggregation and evaluation, communicate and discuss your results with project team lead. Represent the lab team in cross-functional workgroups and act as subject matter expert for specific lab processes. Interact with key stakeholders like method development teams to ensure full alignment. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, analytical methods and specifications, GMP and safety. Provide technical and scientific support to external laboratories in Europe to ensure right-first-time execution. Optionally supervise a team related to lab activities. Qualifications Qualifications: You hold minimally a Master degree in Chemistry, Bio-engineering, or Pharmaceutical Sciences, or equivalent through experience. Profound knowledge and experience of analytical techniques required for drug substance and drug product characterization. Ensure high scientific quality standards for experiments and ownership of work Good written and verbal communication skills in English language Practical experience in industry and knowledge of GMP regulations are an asset Ready to make an impact?
