Our client is seeking a skilled Functional Analyst to strengthen their team. In this role, you’ll contribute to diverse BUILD activities, such as process and system analysis and testing within projects, and after onboarding, you’ll also engage in RUN activities, including operational support. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team of Solution Analysts, Software Engineers, Project Managers, Business Architects, and IT Architects to deliver IT solutions and services across multiple domains.

This is a dynamic opportunity where you’ll handle a variety of projects, ranging from system upgrades to package implementations, spanning domains like logistics, finance, sustainability, pricing, and procurement. Your involvement will be tailored to your experience and the project team composition.

Responsibilities

As an Analyst, your key responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing and mapping the AS-IS situation of business processes and systems.
  • Defining the requirements for new or adapted systems and processes.
  • Designing user interfaces and improving usability for applications.
  • Developing and executing functional test plans and coordinating user acceptance testing.
  • Building knowledge and providing functional support to key users.
  • Preparing handovers to the business and operational teams.
  • Delivering high-quality project outputs, including:
    • Context and scope diagrams
    • Functional solution descriptions
    • Logical data and process models
    • Use case diagrams and requirements (functional, user, integration)
    • Test cases, test reports, user manuals, and training materials
You will report regularly to the Project Manager on progress and deliverables and participate in bi-annual performance evaluations.

Profile

We are looking for a professional who meets the following criteria:

  • 8+ years of experience as an Analyst.
  • Strong analytical skills and adaptability, with the ability to quickly integrate into new environments.
  • Proven expertise in various analysis techniques and working with waterfall methodologies.
  • Experience with IT projects in legacy environments and package implementations.
  • A customer-focused mindset, with the confidence to challenge requirements when needed.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills in Dutch, French, and English.
  • Goal-oriented, pragmatic, and a creative problem-solver with a focus on results.
  • Ability to handle projects with significant process impacts while coaching less experienced colleagues.
  • Open to participating in support activities (and on-call) after onboarding.
Bonus points for:

  • Experience in retail, logistics, and/or supply chain environments.
  • Collaborating with offshore teams.
