We have built the API Cluster including four MAKE sites with harmonized goals: Athens Georgia (US), Geel (Belgium), Schaffhausen SM (Switzerland) and Cork (Ireland). Due to promotion, we are now recruiting a Cluster Engineering Project Delivery Lead for the capital projects delivery team.
The Cluster Engineering project delivery lead is a member of the API Small Molecule Manufacturing Asset Management Cluster engineering leadership Team. This position provides leadership and direction for Capital project design and execution across the SM API Cluster of Business Units in Geel, Belgium, Cork Ireland, Athens Georgia USA and Schaffhausen Switzerland. We encourage and supports the identification and development of innovative engineering solutions and drives project delivery.
This is an exciting role with a large degree of scope and autonomy to lead an international team of engineering professionals to deliver perfection in project execution in support of business goals. Capital spend is $45-$60 Million per year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing talent through coaching and mentoring
- Engineering design & Project Delivery responsibility for all MAM projects within the Cluster
- Engineering standards development and deployment
- Responsible for Commissioning & Qualification (IOQ) execution in the Cluster
- Responsibility for excellent collaboration with engineering Managed Services providers
- Technical and budgetary decisions for capital and site expense projects
- Collaborates with Technical Operations and DPDS to drive improved manufacturing capabilities as well as new modalities
- Partners with MAM Maintenance & Reliability engineering to ensure that project delivery flow addresses maintenance requirements (detailed maintenance plans, spare parts, …) and the new or modified system performs in accordance with defined asset criticality.
- Partners with MAM Technical Safety and Compliance to ensure the proposed engineering solutions meets regulatory requirements.
- Ensures available capital spent wisely on projects that deliver best business benefit across the cluster.
