We are currently looking for a Senior Microsoft Azure Engineer to support our Technical Services business in achieving its objectives. The role of the Engineer is to have conversations with our clients on their functional needs, to translate those into technical designs and to deploy the solutions proposed. Once setup, the engineer hands the necessary information over to our support teams who guarantee the operational management.

Working at NTT

The Senior Microsoft Azure Engineer will be part of the team responsible to deliver Microsoft projects to NTT clients. She/he needs to have a good view on the Microsoft Azure eco system with a focus on its infrastructure and Infrastructure as a Code part. The engineer needs to have proven experience with cloud migrations. Most of the projects involve a combination of some or all the following Microsoft technologies :

  • Azure Active Directory (including Conditional Access)

  • Azure Compute (provisioning, custom templates, etc…)

  • Azure Network (virtual network, subnet, udr, nsg, gateway, etc..)

  • Azure Connectivity (S2S VPN, ExpressRoute, SDWan)

  • Azure Storage (Blob, files, SQL)

  • Azure Policy and Tagging

  • Azure Cost Management

  • PowerShell

  • Graph APIs

  • Infrastructure as a code (devops, Git, pipeline, etc…)


The job will include design of new infrastructures, migration paths definition, migrations implementation and assistance to the operational teams during troubleshooting and problem solving. The candidate is expected to:

  • Understand customer requirements from a technical and functional perspective

  • Work with our clients to define solutions designs and provide recommendations

  • Write implementation plans

  • Implement the proposed designs and manage Azure infrastructures

  • Assist in solving technical issues in collaboration with our support team

  • Maintain and update customer documentation

  • Have understanding of the ITIL principals

What will make you a good fit for the role?

Technical

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent training with professional experience

  • Experience in Azure

  • Experience with Microsoft Security features

  • Experience in Modern Workplace (M365) implementations and migrations is a plus

  • Knowledge of routing and switching principles (CCNA equivalent level)

  • Knowledge of integrations with HTTPS, SSL/TLS, SQL, SAML, REST API

Soft skills

  • Strong analytical thinking and knowledge of procedures

  • Responsive to the demand of working in a high-pressure environment

  • Highly proactive and committed

  • Good verbal communications skills in Dutch or French and English

  • Flexibility and willingness to work out of office hours

  • Motivated to work in a large infrastructure and the opportunity to develop different design perspectives

  • NATO clearance is a plus
