Belgian Corporate Comms & Public Relations Team

The multidisciplinary Belgian Market practice at Weber Shandwick Brussels has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious intern to join its fast-growing Corporate Communications and Public Affairs team.

The successful candidate will get the opportunity to support on a variety of PR, corporate communications and public affairs campaigns for key clients across multiple sectors including healthcare, technology and food. During your internship, you will monitor the media and local policy environment, executive policy research, build excellent media relationships, be responsible for quality control of client work and support the development of new business and client campaign proposals.

About you:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working graduate with a strong interest in communications and policy issues, who enjoys working in a fast-paced international environment.

You are proactive, eager to learn, and passionate about learning the ins & outs of creating engaging communications and public affairs campaigns that contribute to our clients’ business objectives. You have a good basis in all-around skills such as media and political monitoring, copywriting, research, and media pitching. Familiarity with the Belgian media and political landscape is a must.

What we are looking for:

·At least a Bachelor’s degree preferably in communications, journalism, political sciences or a related field

·Dutch native speaker. You are fluent in English and have a good command of French. Other languages are a plus.

· Excellent communication skills (bothwritten and spoken)

·Excellent editing, analytical and research skills

·Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

·Ability to work independently from home or in a hybrid (office & home office) model

·A self-motivated, energetic team player with a good sense of humour
