Robert Half is currently recruiting a Junior Controller for a company located in the Antwerp region.

Our client is a Belgian company active in Waste Management.

Your will become part of a team which currently consists of 6 people (Management Assistant/COO, Assistant Accountant, planning, administration sales/HR). You will directly report to the director.

Accounting

Your responsibilities contain 3 domains:
  • Various booking and payroll processing;
  • Monthly closing and preparation of the annual accounts;
  • Declaration TVA;
  • Governmental grant management: environment, technology and optimizations;
  • Cash management;
  • Preparation of the annual audit.
Financial Controlling
  • Preparation of budgets and forecasts;
  • Controlling the bookkeeping;
  • Analyzing the P&L and quarterly reporting;
  • Monthly reporting for management.
Cost Controlling
  • Management of the stock;
  • Cost management;
  • Controlling the production costs;
  • Preparing a business plan;
  • Analyzing the P&L.
Who are you?
  • A reliable Junior Controller;
  • Someone with good knowledge of accounting principles;
  • Well organized and with a great eye for detail;
  • Reliable and able to perform tasks autonomously and jointly.
The Requested Qualifications For This Job
  • An economic background;
  • At least 2 years of work experience as a controller or in accountancy;
  • Knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) or accounting software (e.g. Exact);
  • Well organized with the ability to set priorities;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities;
  • Fluent in English and knows basic French;
  • Dynamic, result-oriented and you like to work both independently as in team.
