Foodpairing offers an AI platform for food product development to develop better products faster. This platform is also known as CFI (Consumer Flavor Intelligence) and is used by some of the major food companies in the world.

Foodpairing seeks a Junior Data Scientist to join the Platform Development Team. You will play a strategic role in the innovation, research and development of Foodpairing’s technologies for personalized food recommendations and Consumer Flavor Intelligence (CFI). You will work in a multidisciplinary team with data scientists, chefs, food scientists, and data engineers using some of the newest machine learning technologies to generate successful new food products.

Your Skills And Experience
  • A MS degree (Engineering, Physics, Informatics, Computer Sciences,...)
  • You have strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • You have experience with Python and SQL database technologies.
  • You have experience with industry-standard python packages like numpy, scipy, scikit-learn, pandas, keras or pyTorch, matplotlib/plotly.
  • You have hands-on experience, in a technology environment, with exploring and testing machine learning algorithms in the research phase.
  • You have basic knowledge in statistics (parametric and non-parametric tests, regression techniques)
Bonus Points For
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform, Azure or AWS.
  • Experience with industry standard SQL or noSQl database technologies.
  • Experience with version control software tools, e.g. git.
  • Experience in algorithm and software development
