We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer for our Waterloo office who can work their magic with our Rtus and Dataloggers products.

Core Responsibilities

Participate in the architecture design and implementation of our Rtu/Datalogger Embedded software suite(s) based on Linux kernel and RTOS.
Participate in the architecture design and implementation of our Rtu/Datalogger management software suite(s) based on C# .NET for Windows.
Implementation of communication protocols and advanced algorithms in C/C++ or C# for our Rtu/Datalogger via our Add-on Developer Kit.
Support design, development and implementation of customer applications in C# .NET.
Create unit test cases for our systems to enhance reliability and avoid regressions.
Draw ad hoc technical documentation in English, for internal use and for customers (like API reference).

Education & Experience

Engineer or Bachelor degree in computer science or automation.
Proven experience in programming languages (C/C++ and/or C# .NET).
Experience in real time, communication, Embedded systems and Linux is a key advantage.
Knowledge of automation and industrial systems is a key advantage.
Experience in scripting languages (JavaScript) and Web technologies is an advantage.

Skills

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in French and English.
Ability to deal with others effectively.
Ability to organize work.
Ability to be self-reliant.
Professional approach and comfortable interacting at all levels with confidence.
