We are recruiting a senior-level expert to support a secure and complex infrastructure within a critical international defence environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide third-level engineering support for complex CIS security services.
- Operate and improve services such as DMZs, secure access, hybrid-cloud edge environments, and more.
- Troubleshoot and optimize network security systems using tools like Wireshark and SNMP.
- Participate in sprint-based agile planning and delivery cycles.
- Ensure incident response, resolution, and service restoration meet agreed KPIs.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.
Required Profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT engineering roles focused on enterprise security.
- Proven expertise with technologies including DDI, VPNs, SMTP gateways, proxies, load balancers, DDOS/WAF, SASE.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, ACLs, VPNs, PKI, MFA, and network troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with tools and platforms such as F5 Big-IP, OPSWAT, Infoblox, Cisco FirePower, Fortinet.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and sprint-based delivery.
- Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written).
Mandatory Requirements
- NATO SECRET security clearance valid at contract start.
- 100% on-site presence required in Mons, Belgium.
- Must be a single individual (not a team or company).
- Occasional travel to other international sites may be required (travel costs covered).

Although open to technologies used by our customers, ABAKUS IT-SOLUTIONS seeks mainly but not only consultants mastering: Windows and Linux Servers, networks, developments (JAVA, SAP, .NET,…) as well as highly specialized experts for example in cybersecurity or in Content Management System (CMS) (SharePoint, Drupal, WebLogic…).
In terms of non-technical competencies, ABAKUS IT-SOLUTIONS hires dynamic persons, open to the world, interested by innovation and having a keen sense of client relationship.
A very good command of English is essential, the capacity to speak French, German or Dutch is an asset.
Even though most of our positions require at least 3 years of experience, some are open to new starters.
