I am partnered with an organisation that specialises in the manufacturing of materials that are used in the construction industry. They are looking for an Automation Engineer with knowledge of Tia Portal & Robotics to join their expanding team.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation systems for manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure the timelines and budgets of the projects are maintained as planned.
  • Designing automation systems, including the selection of software, controllers & sensors.
  • Run multiple automation projects at the same time
  • Ensuring that the automation systems comply with the applicable safety standards and regulations.
  • Program and configure automation solutions using TIA Portal for PLC-based control systems.
  • Design and implement control strategies for Fanuc robots to automate tasks within the production line.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve automation system issues to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and optimize production processes.
  • Continuously monitor the performance of automation systems and recommend improvements.
  • Assist with the installation and commissioning of new automation equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in industrial automation, specifically with TIA Portal and Fanuc robots.
  • Strong programming skills in PLC programming (Siemens & Schneider).
  • Experience with robot programming and operation, particularly with Fanuc robots.
  • Strong knowledge of automation components such as sensors, actuators, and control systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
