The Global Change Agents drive the continuous improvement of BMS, by developing and rolling out gobal standards, systems and tools in the following domains: shop floor management, maintenance, labor & machine productivity, quality & yield, and energy. They also define and roll out the required governance and processes to ensure the sustainability of BMS.

Your role

  • You drive continuous improvement across Bekaert, in the respective domains of:
    • Perform benchmarking exercise
    • Identify big/common opportunities
    • Launch global initiatives
  • You develop the playbooks and procedures for the processes
  • You are responsible for the roll out and improvement of the new processes and procedures
  • You train internal trainers and you develop training material for the Production Managers, according to the BMA standards
  • You identify opportunities to increase the productivity and to realize the lowest total cost
  • You act as a business partner for embedding operational excellence in our business units, leveraging the scale across the enterprise
  • You are driving the transformation towards digital manufacturing with data driven insight and decision making. You identify and roll out digital systems and tools to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the shopfloor people and of the processes
  • You define the conceptual design of the digital solution
  • You pilot the solution and realize the benefits
  • You organize good practice sharing by:
    • Filtering & approving good practices
    • Follow up on the implementation of the good practices
  • You will become the SPOC for your colleagues in the RCA, the Regions and the different Plants during these process optimization projects

Your profile

  • You are an engineer with at least 8 years of experience in a similar role
  • You have experience working on global projects
  • You have a strong focus are passionated by training/coaching&managing people
  • You have good insights on how to optimize projects
  • Experience in Automotive is a plus
  • You know how to motivate a team in change projects
  • You are a good listener, capable of encouraging and motivating people
  • You are ready to travel 20% of the time
  • You have an excellent knowledge of English
