A major international consultancy firm is currently looking for an IFRS Senior Manager to join its Zaventem office.
As part of the growth of the business, a senior manager position has just been created within the IFRS team in Zaventem. Reporting to the partner, you will occupy a key position.
Your main responsibilities as the new IFRS Senior Manager will include:
- Manage a team that provides IFRS support to fast-growing firms in preparation for a potential IPO or sale to a third-party investor, and help these firms convert their figures from local GAAP to IFRS reporting standards and prepare their first set of IFRS financial statements
- Ensure that the team provides technical IFRS accounting advice to entities already reporting under IFRS
- Be the main contact for our listed clients and liaise directly with their finance teams
- Head/coach a team of experienced IFRS consultants focused on serving Belgium’s largest and fastest-growing IFRS reporting companies
- Participate in a number of complex IFRS transactions underway in large multinational companies
About you:
- You are fluent in French or in Dutch with a good level of English
- You have solid technical IFRS skills
- You have experience in an IFRS or audit department supporting public interest entities that apply IFRS reporting standards in an accountancy firm
- You also have the ability to apply theoretical IFRS guidance in a practical and pragmatic way to add value for clients seeking IFRS support
- You have an analytical mind and problem-solving abilities to contribute to the analysis of complex accounting issues
