Function

As a global IT Network Architect you will take responsibility for the global IT Network architecture (WAN, LAN, WIFI etc…) of the organisation. Constant development and optimization of new or existing IT network services will be at the core of your activities.

You will translate organisation requirements into a global IT Network service catalogue to ensure that the provided design meets those requested requirements. These IT network services should be in line with the business organisation’s strategy.

Based on the analysis of Business requirements you will take a primary role & participate within the assessment of potential solutions and/or suppliers.

You recommend solutions and take responsibility for the development of the IT network infrastructure services ensuring reliable platforms and act as final escalation path for support services.

You monitor and set up a technical architecture which is redundant and ensure Business continuity taking into account the highest security standards.

You advise and make recommendations to the IT Management regarding IT infrastructure network decisions to ensure that all systems smoothly intregrate within the IT architecture of TVH.

You stay well-informed about the evolutions and developments on the market related to IT-network services & will work closely together with the engineers & manager from the Center of Excellences. You will continuously strive to keep your knowledge and your leadership skills up-to-date ensuring trusted partnership expertise towards the organization.

Profile

Must have

• Master degree in IT of equivalent by experience
• At least 5 years experience within a similar role
• Experience in a multinational organisations with a international scope
• Thorough knowledge of TCP/IP in LAN, WLAN, WAN and VPN environments
• Experience with IT Security Systems (Firewalls, Web-content filtering, Intrusion detection & Prevention, Malware prevention, ...)
• Used to work both in team and independent
• Strong communications skills
• Team player
• Used to work under pressure
• Fluent knowledge of English
