Digital commerce has a pivotal role in the digital transformation at Atlas Copco Compressor Technique.

In order to keep up with market trends and remain future proof in this area, Atlas Copco Compressor Technique has started the “One Portal” program. A strategic program with a clear objective to enable one common, yet flexible, commerce solution able to deliver each customer journey in a simple, extensible and cost-effective way.

In the process of implementing this ambitious commerce objective (B2B/B2C/B2B2C/… for all products), the “One Portal” program will also standardize all underlying strategic aspects found in our IT landscape making up the end-2-end commerce process driving these customer journeys. Key aspects within the new eCommerce architecture are PIM (Product Information Management), an “API first landscape”, and making the customer more autonomous in his/her journey.

The Role

We are looking for a passionate and committed IT solution architect with focus on “One Portal”.

As Solution Architect You Will Conceive And Drive The Architectural Aspect Of This Program, In Line With Atlas Copco Group Guidelines
  • Establish loosely coupled front ends by moving the business logic into the back-end in the area of commerce
  • Future proof integration framework for harvesting master data systems (existing and future)
  • Close the gap on Product Information Management

What we expect of you?

Specific Requirements For This Position

The ideal candidate will have a good blend of IT architecture, product/master data and integration skills.
  • Strong background in IT architecture: concepts, visualization, master data, integration strategy, data models, …
  • Ability to capture needs of the users, translate to IT concepts and guide the implementation team.
  • You are strong evangelist, fluent in English, both written and spoken, internally and externally, at all levels.
Furthermore, Following Qualities Are Considered As An Asset
  • Background and affinity to other processes as found in or bordering on commerce go-to market as well as existing in enterprise setting.
  • Familiar with agile methodology (scrum & dev-ops), with background in waterfall to drive transition towards iterative development for our commerce platform, able to operate in a cross-functional team.
  • Experience in working in a large international company.

  • You are customer focused, and professional. Also, you have good communication and interpersonal skills and maintain a good relationship with other stakeholders.
  • You have self-drive and passion, triggered by technology and software development.
  • You are enthusiastic, proactive and passionate, but you still work systematically, accurately and are focusing on delivered quality and results.
  • You like to be challenged and have very strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities. As such you are not afraid of making errors and are willing to learn by doing.
  • You can handle pressure, and are prepared to work outside regular office hours, which is sometimes necessary due to a deadline.
  • You consider the team to be more than just the sum of the members.
  • You are inquisitive and eager to learn. Next to this you have good coaching skills to take the team and application to the next level.
  • You understand the dynamics of change management, support, service and you consider continuous improvement, thinking outside the box and ahead a given.

We are a motivated, fun, and smart international team working in a rewarding and dynamic environment. You will become part of CT-IS (Compressor Technique - Information Services). CT-IS delivers services to the Compressor Technique business area of Atlas Copco. You will work closely together with the business. The department mainly operates from the headquarters in Antwerp (Belgium), with teams in the US, Czech Republic, India, and China.
