Data Architect ( MS Dynamics and GDMC)

Location: Belgium (Hybrid)

Contract: 6 months (with potential extension)

Overview

We are seeking a Data Architect to support a manufacturing client’s ongoing digital transformation, integratingMicrosoft Dynamics 365 F&O and SCM with Salesforce and related enterprise systems.

The role will form a key bridge between the business, IT, and the Global Data Management Centre (GDMC), ensuring consistent data standards, governance, and architecture across all platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, document, and maintain the enterprise data architecture supporting D365 F&O, SCM, and Salesforce integrations.
• Partner with the GDMC to define and enforce global data standards, governance models, and master-data structures (Customer, Vendor, Product, Item, BOM, and Pricing).
• Lead data modelling, mapping, and transformation activities to ensure alignment between operational systems, reporting layers, and the enterprise data lake.
• Collaborate with global and regional data stewards, ensuring GDMC-approved data dictionaries, lineage documentation, and quality rules are implemented.
• Support data migration planning, cleansing, and validation during project phases and BAU cycles.
• Define integration architecture between D365, Salesforce, and external manufacturing systems using Azure Data Factory, Dataverse, and APIs.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure that GDMC data policies align with operational needs and that all changes are traceable, auditable, and documented.
• Provide oversight on data quality KPIs, metrics, and exception handling processes, reporting back to the GDMC and project leadership.
• Contribute to the creation of GDMC playbooks and templates for use in future deployments.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Data Architect, ideally in manufacturing or supply-chain environments.
• Hands-on understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O and SCM data models, Salesforce architecture, and Azure data integration tools (Data Factory, Synapse, Power BI).
• Strong knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM), data governance, and GDMC frameworks.
• Experience in defining and implementing data lineage, metadata management, and data quality controls.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable data architecture and governance solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills — especially in complex, multi-entity global organisations.
• Fluency in English, Dutch, or French is an advantage.

Desirable

• Familiarity with GDPR, ISO 8000, and other data compliance frameworks.
• Experience working within or alongside a Global Data Management Centre (GDMC).
• Prior exposure to global ERP or CRM rollouts across multiple regions.
• Certification in Microsoft Azure Data, Dynamics 365, or Salesforce Architecture disciplines.
