Product Manager - Brokerage

A dynamic and fast-growing company active in the banking sector is currently looking for a Product Manager - Brokerage to join its Brussels office.

In your new role as Product Manager - Brokerage, you will be responsible for the management and maintenance of trading product offerings. Reporting to Senior Product Manager, this role will require you to develop a product vision, collate and prioritise requests and work closely with other internal departments to bring the necessary required capabilities to market.

Your main responsibilities will be :

• Enhance the current platform for trading bonds, equities and ETFs
• Develop new features such as split orders, automated periodic orders and other features that enhance the user experience
• Enhance and implement tool-specific data points, content, news,... that enable clients to make informed decisions
• Responsible for projects that enhance filtering capabilities and inspire or provide investment ideas to customers
• Monitor market trends and innovations across Belgium and beyond to develop future-proof solutions
• Ensure good governance of the products in our universe and comply strictly with the compliance framework
• Bond selection: keep track of new issues on the market and draw up and maintain a selection of company’s bonds on the secondary market. Analyse possible opportunities to participate in bond issues on the primary market
• Continuously evaluate the equity universe and improve it if necessary
• Evaluate the possibility and benefits of accessing new marketplaces
• Evaluate future opportunities for structured bonds or capital protection investment solutions
• Provide the marketing team with financial markets content for clients
• Assist marketing teams in creating educational material for clients
• Provide relevant training material to staff
• Responsible for all projects related to the trading platform
• Define and implement future investment services offerings and/or enhance current services (exclusion only, advisory and discretionary services)
• Ad hoc assignments, reports to senior management or requests for information as required

Your profile:

• You have a good knowledge and a keen interest in financial markets, investment products and a willingness to learn
• You have a master’s degree or equivalent in economics, finance or a similar discipline
• You have excellent written and oral communication skills
• You are fluent in English and Dutch or French
• You have at least five years’ experience in digital trading, bond or equity selection, brokerage product management or trading room
• You are familiar with online engagement and digital customer experience
