The Energy Business Unit in a nutshell:

Vinçotte is organized in 4 major business units. In our Energy & other Process Industries division (EOP) we offer a diverse set of solutions to increase customer safety. Among others our services cover: (Advanced) Non-destructive testing (NDT), Statutory Inspections of pressure equipment, Asset Integrity Management and risk management, process safety, predictive analytics solutions to increase safety/quality/performance, compliance verification, Management systems certification.

Your role

Digitalization & automation relentlessly change the face of these industrial activities. The convergence of IoT,

Artificial Intelligence and robotics, among other evolutions, has enabled the opportunity to move towards smarter

factories. To answer appropriately to these challenges, Vinçotte continuously invest in innovation, in particular in

the Advanced Non-Destructive Testing (ANDT) technologies. Therefore, we want to reinforce our Advanced NDT

team with a Project Engineer dedicated to the realization of innovative solutions within the Business Unit.

The Project Engineer Innovation will play a important role as a link between the Innovation team and the Operations. The main activities of the Project Engineer Innovation shall be:

• Implement the EOP innovation program;
• Develop end-to-end solutions that improve the added value we deliver to our customers
• Implement these new solutions within business operations;
• Participate in the activities of the ANDT team at the office and workshop in Vilvoorde (development, project management, tests, missions preparation,…)
• Participate in the activities of the ANDT team on site, in Belgium and abroad (inspections on site)

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Industrial or Civil Engineer or Bachelor Degree ideally with experience in new digital inspection technologies and/or Advanced Non-Destructive Testing (starter accepted);
• French or Dutch speaking with proficiency in English;
• Ready to go on industrial sites;
• Good interpersonal, written and oral communication skills;
• Strong practical rigor on the field with good manual dexterity;
• Passionate about implementing new technologies on the field.

BONUS SKILLS

• Knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing;
• Knowledge of 3D modeling;
• Knowledge of coding;
• Knowledge of drones and robotics;
• Knowledge of general metallurgy and safety mechanisms.
