Nipro Digital Technologies Europe (NDTE) is a subsidiary of Nipro Europe Group Companies, a part of Nipro Corporation Japan, a leading global healthcare company with over 30.000 employees worldwide.

At NDTE we spend most of our time building NephroFlow, a process-oriented software platform for dialysis centers. Our software supports nephrologists and nurses at every step of the care process.

As a Ruby developer, you will build and maintain the core of Nipro’s digital products, services, and APIs and work with a diverse team to launch new features and capabilities.

We’re looking for people with a strong background in building products and systems; you’re comfortable in dealing with lots of moving pieces; you have exquisite attention to detail, and you’re comfortable learning new technologies.

You will:

  • Design, build, and maintain core data models and APIs.
  • Work with engineers across the company to build new features.
  • Creating beautiful and fast code that improves our code base in meaningful ways.
  • Using test-driven development to write well-tested code.
  • Fixing bugs fast and taking your time to solve hard problems well.

You may be fit for this role if you:

  • Building backend web services using several languages and frameworks.
  • Strong foundation in OO principles and fluency in at least one OO language. We work mostly in Ruby.
  • Comfortable with relational databases and SQL (we mostly use PostgreSQL).
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails, or the desire to learn it quickly.
  • Experience with React, or the desire to learn it quickly.
  • A love of your craft and a curiosity and passion to learn new things.
  • You can write clean, maintainable, performant, and testable code.
  • You are able to develop ownership of a product or feature.
