Reporting to the VP/GM, EMEAI, the Subject Matter Experts’ Leader is responsible for providing solution to customers biggest challenges in the fields of Instruments Service, Software and Applications as well as addressing specific regional development requirements (eg new applications).

Focused on enhancing the customer experience, can provide strategic insight and competitive advantage. Liaises with the global and Regional Segment teams and R&D functions to ensure SMEs maintain and expand excellent specialist competencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cooperate with Segments and R&D to align on key competences and technical knowledge to be developed within the function
  • Ensuresactive specialist supportthroughout the sales and service execution chain.
  • Design and regulate troubleshooting policies in the fields of Instruments, Software and Applications
  • During field execution, interacts with the Customer as a solution provider, based on a Business Partnership approach to influence an excellent Customer Experience
  • Liaise with Country CSE and FAS to ensure correct escalation procedures
  • Ensure pan-European operational effectiveness during task execution at country level
  • Participate to internal and external training delivery to increase technical and solution application knowledge development in the field

Requested Competences

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master/PhD degree is a plus.

  • Possess excellent leadership skills, proactive mindset with strong sense of responsibility and ownership. Execute managerial skills to enhance a determined focus on strong performance and teamwork to achieve organizational goals.
  • Strong global, multi-cultural leadership. Foster collaboration and teamwork in a complex, fast-paced, changing environment to deliver value-added results to the organization. Collaborate well with all PKI organizations.
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication / presentation skills in verbal and written communications, following generally accepted rules of style and form.
  • Attract, develop and maintain top talent / performing teams. Execute management through coaching.
  • 5 years+ experience leading a technical team such as FAS or R&D function.

Financial Acumen

  • Prepare and manage a realistic growth AOP / budget
  • Accurate forecasting capability
  • Understand all facets of a P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statement

Business

Acumen

  • Commercial acumen to help with market, product, customer strategy as well as selling skills in product line marketspace with relevant experience
  • Advocate of customer experience: ability to define and promote added value solutions for customer.
  • Effective knowledge of PKI products, services and end-market strategies as well as of selling tools. Competitor’s and market knowledge are critical.
  • Set and exceed growth commercial plan through effective organizational design and deploy of resources to grow.

Change Management

  • Open to change and new information; adapt behavior and work methods in response to new information and changing conditions. Adjust rapidly to new situations warranting attention and resolution; willing to champion new ideas and methods.
  • Ability to lead major change management projects, such as acquisitions, divestitures and reorganizations.
