Solvay is a market leader in hydrogen peroxide, both in market share and technology. Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is used mainly by the paper industry to bleach pulp. Its properties are also of interest to many markets, such as chemicals, food, textiles, and the environment.

Job Overview and Responsibilities

Missions:
Reporting to the GBU Excellence & Digital Leader, your mission is to challenge the status quo to deliver key supply chain projects that bring value, reduce costs and increase capabilities. In addition, you will lead performance management initiatives and define the measures for Supply Chain KPIs.

Key responsibilities:
  • Management of performance by defining, supporting and implementing supply chain excellence enablers
  • Generate cost savings through a culture of excellence, lead ideatiation sessions, and animate the supply chain network
  • Monitor and report savings initiatives
  • Accountability for the assessment, definition, measurement, and reporting of Supply Chain KPIs
  • Implementation of standards and best practices relating to packaging, equipment, and demand management
  • Act as an internal expert and develop capabilities by training and advising
  • Maintain strong and effective working relationships with all areas of the organization, within the GBU and corporate, including the supply chain network, Industrial, Purchasing, IS and the Transformation Center.
  • Support the Procurement team for optimal contract management

Education and Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or similar technical discipline
  • 10 years of experience in the field of Supply Chain

Skills

Skills/Abilities
  • Experience executing and leading projects on continuous improvement and Supply Chain excellence
  • Basic knowledge of digital tools for analysis, optimization and reporting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Financial acumen, able to analyze and characterize results in terms of financial benefit
  • Experience in SAP
  • Highly organized and self-motivated individual who can manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. Must be able to adapt to changing situations.
  • English speaking, any other language will be a plus.
