Purpose of the Job

As a Technical Architect, you are the gatekeeper of the technical architecture solutions within the “Digital Engagement” Value Stream with a focus on Salesforce Sales, Service and Commerce Cloud.

You will be responsible for the design of technical architecture on Salesforce including the integration and authentication of multiple platforms;

• You guide the implementation teams and partners to manage the development lifecycle for highly efficient CI/CD processes;
• You shape the technical architecture to optimize performance, for scalability and security of our platform;
• You make recommendations, highlight trade-offs, benefits and risks of various options;
• You articulate technical discussions for various audiences technical and non-technical (IT, analysts, developers, business stakeholders, C-level,…);
• You collaborate & coordinate cross teams and with the Solution Architect and other Domain Architects;
• You are a trusted knowledge expert and advisor on the platform.
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• You are responsible for creating and documenting the technical architecture of Salesforce projects in collaboration with the other Domain Architects, the Solution Architect, Enterprise Architect and functional teams to meet key business functions and deliver value to our customers and partners;
• You guide decisions and determine best approaches to implement technical solutions end to end (i.e. integration patterns, declarative vs programmatic, AppExchange vs custom build…);
• You are an escalation point for technical issues or challenges about Salesforce;
• You investigate problems in search for the root cause and long term solution(s) within your areas of responsibility;
• You work closely with the SAP team on the Salesforce interface technical requirements (dozens of interfaces with SAP and other platforms);
• You work closely with the Data team on data integration and data migration flows;
• You play a mentoring role for your peers and support the development of their technical knowledge;
• You teach and implement best practices.
  
  

We Are Looking For a New Colleague Who

• Holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Business Economics or equivalent combination of education and working experience;
• Has minimum 3 years’ experience as Technical Architect
• Has hands-on experience of Salesforce Sales Cloud and Salesforce Service Cloud across multiple environments and industries;
• Knowledge of Community Cloud, Field Service and Cloudcraze are an asset;
• Has strong integration and development background, proficient experience with Apex, Visualforce, Web Components, SFDX, ETL tools;
• Has Salesforce Certifications
• Salesforce Application Architect (or intermediate)
• Salesforce System Architect (or intermediate)
• Salesforce Technical Architect is an asset
• Is able to work proactively, independently and can set priorities - demonstrating excellent organizing, planning and problem solving skills;
• Has excellent communication skills to interact at multiple levels of the organization;
• Has experience working with Agile methodology;
• Has data modeling skills;
• Has fluent oral and written English skills.
