With guidance, you plan and implement assigned projects.How You Will ContributeYou will perform a range of analyses, prepare and maintain standard equipment and chemicals required for running of an analytical laboratory, support laboratory activities while ensuring compliance to the appropriate internal and external standards, and capture and report data with technical rigor and accuracy. Main responsibilities:
  • Carrying out quality checks and analyzes on the semi-finished cocoa mass in the chocolate factory.
  • Carrying out quality checks on the end products in the chocolate factory.
  • Carrying out quality checks and analyzes on raw materials, semi-finished products or end products in the chocolate factory on specific request: performing viscosity measurements,…
  • Organizing taste tests in the chocolate factory on specific request.
  • Provide support and follow up on shelf life extensions for raw materials and semi-finished products in the chocolate factory respectively.
  • Collecting samples for periodic updating of the calibration lines in the various NIR devices in the chocolate factory.
  • Carrying out calibrations of a number of recorded measuring instruments within the chocolate factory

Job specific requirements:
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in laboratory technician or a bachelor’s degree in nutrition or equivalent through experience.
  • You work accurately and safely.
  • You are a real team player.
  • You are medically fit: recognizing color and taste deviations during taste tests (organoleptic properties)
  • You can work independently and take initiative.
  • You are administratively strong. You have a thorough knowledge of Word, Excel. Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
  • You are communicative and can express yourself fluently (orally and in writing) in Dutch and English.
  • Experience or knowledge of the sector is a plus.

Work schedule:
  • You are flexible and willing to start earlier (7 AM) in a rotation system within the lab team.
  • You are flexible and willing to work sporadically during the weekend

The responsibilities of this position are performed within the framework of a regional business model that is defined and managed by Mondelēz Europe GmbH, Switzerland .
