Through the combined acquisitions of CellPoint and AboundBio, we are propelling ourselves into next-generation cell therapies.We are looking for a Lab Technician Chemistry - Mechelen,BEYour roleYou will be part of the analytical chemistry group, in which new chemical entities get purified and analysed to fuel Galapagos’ drug discovery projects.As member of the analytical team, you will be responsible for:
  • Purification of compounds by means of preparative HPLC technique
  • Quality control of final compounds and handling them from start to finish
  • Maintenance and troubleshooting of analytical equipment (UPLC, HPLC, NMR)
  • Shipment of chemicals
Who are you?
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry.
  • You have an interest in analytical chemistry.
  • You have just graduated, or are graduating in June, or you have max. 3 years work experience.
  • Prior experience is not required: we will provide an in-house training on the job.
  • You work precisely and accurately, with an interest in the technical aspects of the job.
  • You have good organizational skills.
  • You are a team player that can communicate fluently in English (both orally and in writing).
  • This role being lab based, your daily presence in our labs in Mechelen is required
