As Manager Financial Data and Reporting you lead a small team in charge of financial and operational reporting.

You are responsible for streamlining, optimizing, and redesigning the various reporting and planning processes, and getting them to function as a single coherent, consistent environment.

You will search for the “best practice” end-to-end information processes, resulting in better performance and enhanced productivity, supporting our company in the realization of our business objectives and goals.

Tasks:

• You manage the consolidation, processing, validation and reporting processes for data of operational and financial nature, looking back (data reporting on the existing reality) and looking forward (data in support of forecast, budget, strategic planning)
• You deliver timely, accurate and valid reporting to the organization and manage a report portfolio of both operational and financial nature
• You are responsible for the carve-out, integration and further extension of the current reporting factory concept
• You measure and analyze the performance of the end-to-end processes (budgeting, forecasting, all recurring and ad-hoc management reporting) to identify opportunities for improvement
• You evaluate and analyze current (manual) reporting processes and identify opportunities for automation

• You develop and implement procedures for effective data management and process management
• You analyze data sets of information with the appropriate tools and techniques to deliver insightful and actionable information in an impactful way
• You conduct deep dive analyses, data profiling & data transformation rules and propose solutions for data visualization
• You build the bridge between the systems and data and the organization by translating and tailoring technical content into business applicable material, providing transparency and insight to business users
• You review and analyze the data infrastructure of an organization, plan future databases, and suggest solutions to store and manage data for the company and users
• You devise and implement efficient and secure procedures for data management and analysis with attention to all technical aspects
• Establish rules and procedures for data sharing with upper management, external stakeholders etc.
• You troubleshoot data-related problems and authorize maintenance or modifications

Profile

• You have a master’s degree in Business and Information Systems Engineering, Commercial Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration or similar
• You have 5 to 7 years’ experience in a similar role
• You fully understand the complexity of financial data management. You have a strong understanding of databases and data analysis procedures
• You have a profound knowledge of data and reporting solutions. You have relevant experience on a variety of technical solutions, including Microsoft Excel and Access, SAP R/3 and SAP BI (Business Intelligence). Experience in Tagetik would be a plus. PowerBI experience would be appreciated.
