General mission

With the Manufacturing engineering team, the Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of new and existing products, equipment, documentation.
Develop a robust structure and team to allow efficient/accurate industrialization plan and roadmap execution. Lead, develop and motivate people.

Main tasks

Develop, communicate and deploy the operational plan linked to the scope of activity in alignment with the department and BU strategy

• Contribute to achieve vision, strategy, development plan

Build, develop and manage the Manufacturing team

• The Manufacturing Engineering activities are implemented according to the defined strategy, action plans, roles & responsibilities, and processes. The team is coached, and competencies are developed according to the needs. Technical knowledge is maintained and developed according to product needs. Manage the short-term and mid-term Manufacturing Engineering planning (schedules, priorities and workload)

Continuously improve processes and policies linked to the ME team and activities

• Validated and compliant processes and policies exist, are documented and are followed by the team.
• Process improvement initiatives are compliant with safety, security, ISO requirements and GMP rules and aim to improve productivity, delivery times and quality

Ensure interface with internal subdepartments like Quality, Production, Sourcing and Logistics (for project, product, procedures and knowledge transfer) and other department of the business unit.

• Transversal processes implemented, interfaces defined, efficient relationships with related departments.
• Act as main contact point for Manufacturing Engineering/Industrialization topics. Participate to design review when necessary

Analyze escalated issues and implement appropriate solutions

• Escalated or problems are solved and implemented solutions are communicated. Root cause analysis are performed when necessary

Report and document global activities, improvement plans and undertaken actions with the required level of details and accuracy

• Reporting and KPI are communicated, analyzed and action plans are proposed for decision making

• Master Degree in Engineeringor equivalent experience
• Several years of experience in a people management role
• Strong leadership and desire to mentor, coach and develop team members
• Relevant work experience with track record in change management, continuous improvement and processes optimization
• Able to organize your work and the work of others autonomously and take initiatives
• Proactive with a strong solution-oriented mindset
• Proficient in French and English (written and spoken)
