General summary
The Marketing Manager holds the full responsibility for the marketing activities in the chilled business in Belgium.
He/she is accountable for creating, executing and evaluating the marketing plans with the aim to build brand awareness, market penetration, insure best category management, share & financial goals, in order to achieve the business strategy of the Belgian chilled business.
He/she will be the end-to-end owner of the brand from consumer insights to in-market execution. The Marketing Manager is committed to prioritize and bring focus to total brand investments to drive top-and bottom line growth.
The Marketing manager will report to the BU Director Chilled (Belgium). He/she will be part of the management team of Chilled Belgium located in Beringen.
Role & Responsibilities:
-Create brand vision, positioning and strategy for a (new) brand in the chilled category.
-Identify and understand key drivers and barriers of category/brand consumption and purchasing behaviour. Identify key risk and opportunities and make recommendations.
-Conduct market analysis to have a deep understanding of consumer behaviour, brand measures, competition and media.
-Define the marketing plan (promotional activities, product portfolio management, in store visibility...) and communication strategies.
-Manage the innovation funnel to capture growth opportunities, interacting with local and regional Marketing Teams, taking into account both consumer insights and retailer priorities/needs.
-Develop path to purchase based on identified trial and purchase barriers. Allocate and prioritize annual budget and activities accordingly. Identify key role per touchpoint and ensure consistent execution. Outcome should be a focused integrated plan (communication and commercial) with emphasis on overall plan sufficiency and ROI.
-Manage agencies and ensure consistent and on-briefing execution.
-Manage marketing budget focused on effectiveness and efficiency.
-Develop and implement local marketing initiatives and consumer programs against clear performance KPI’s.
-Understand key Belgian retailers needs and priorities.
-Act as true expert on brand and category for the organization. Lead marketing business meetings and management reviews.

Profile
-University degree;
-Substantial marketing experience in a FMCG company (minimum 7 years in a similar position in Marketing, Trade Marketing and/or Category Management);
-Knowledge of the Belgian retail environment;
-Analytical skills and commercial feeling;
-Fluent in Dutch, English & French;
-Strong communication, presentation and organizational skills;
-A strong team spirit with a no-nonsense approach
