Description

Function :
  • Review mechanical engineering scope of work and prepare mechanical engineering deliverable list
  • Specify mechanical equipment (rotating, static, bulk handling…) and packages
  • Prepare bid analysis and technical recommendation for this equipment
  • Comment vendor’s drawings with integration of comments from client and other engineering disciplines
  • Review calculation notes and technical files prepared by suppliers
  • Interface and supply information to other engineering disciplines
  • Participate in technical inspection and performance tests of equipment
  • According to the project, the mechanical engineer will possibly supervise the mechanical equipment erection on site and participate in pre-commissioning phase Piping Scope
  • Review piping scope of work and with set-up of piping engineering deliverable list
  • Prepare piping material specifications, valves and piping accessories data sheets and supply related information to piping design team
  • Complete line list with all information related to piping
  • Prepare and issue specifications for piping supports
  • List pipelines or systems that require pipe stress calculation, following codes
  • Achieve and control pipe stress calculation and issue calculation notes, and check correct implementation in piping design (3D Model, isometrics...)
  • Design and manage production of special supports drawings
  • Transmit to mechanical, concrete and structure loads due to piping on equipment and structures
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines
  • According to the project, the piping engineer will possibly supervise the piping erection on site and participate in pre-commissioning phase
Profile :
  • Industrial or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3 to 5 years of practical experience
  • Piping technical background
  • Construction supervision experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of standards and codes: EN, ISO, CE directives (PED), ASME...
  • Experience with currently used CAE applications (Caesar II pipe stress; Nozzle Pro,...)
