Organization Project Manager

A company active in the asset management sector is currently looking to hire an Organization Project Manager to join their offices in Brussels to support the business growth.

Thanks to your experience in Asset Management, financial markets, and Project Management, you will be the perfect addition to the company and will have an essential role in it.

The Operations Change Management team identifies, launches and manages the transformation projects that impact the operational chain. The objectives of these projects can be linked to new business development opportunities, regulatory changes, the improvement of operational efficiency and efforts to harmonize the AM operational setup.

The change is implemented in close cooperation with the business lines, risk and compliance, IT, Investment Operations, client reporting and external service providers.

The scope covers the full operational chain from the Portfolio Management through Dealing, Position Keeping, Custody, Collateral Management, Fund Accounting, Trade Support, Transfer Agent, Reporting (Regulatory/Funds/Clients/etc.), etc.

As an organization project manager you will be the privileged interlocutor of the different impacted functions in the framework of the launch and realization of the transformational projects. You will lead the transformation and coordinate with all involved stakeholders to define the transformation and change to implement. You will structure the effective change by clarifying the objective, defining and implementing the organization, the roadmap and the governance. You will implement the effective change and accompany the team.

Your main responsibilities as the new Organization Project Manager will include:

• Set up, lead and guide teams
• Set up and monitor budget, incl. plan set up and follow up in internal tools
• Analyze and manage transversal impacts, dependencies, and risks
• Ensure compliance and coherence with Operations Services and Operations target strategy
• Ensure proper initiation, planning/sequencing, design, execution, manage change (accompany teams and ensure further continuous improvement), monitoring, controlling and closure of the project
• Set proper metrics
• Report on all aspects to all required levels (from project team members to Senior Management, including all possible concerned stakeholders)
• Assure proper documentation
• Communicate on project

Your role also includes following activities:

• Participate to Business case elaboration, studies analysis, etc.
• Identify opportunities for improvement of the operational set up and continuously improve processes Quickly assess critical situations, define action plan and coordinate roll out
• Lead / participate to shorter term initiatives, task forces, punctual missions and work on new framework / possible quick wins implementation with impacted teams
• Monitor, ensure quality service levels and report on production (KPI, dashboards, etc.) with stakeholders
• Perform activity cost analysis in various dimensions and/or comparison with competitors for the full Operations scope.

Your profile:

• You have a master’s degree in Finance or equivalent by experience
• You have 5 years of relevant experience in the Asset Management industry or within the financial sector
• You have knowledge and strong experience in Project Management (transversal, cross-organization and countries)
• You have operations background: good understanding of the business and experience in team management and/or leadership
• You have an experience in process modelling, change management and continuous improvement
• You have a good working knowledge/level of Excel and PowerPoint
• You are fluent in English and French, knowledge of Dutch is a plus
