Overview

Due to ongoing contract requirements and additional workload we want to hire a Project Scheduler to join our team. He/she will develop, coordinate, integrate and manage project schedules on a diverse array of projects. The successful candidate will have suitable experience of developing and managing complex project schedules through their full project life cycle and working with multi-discipline Engineering, Design, Construction Management and Commissioning & Qualification teams.

We’d really like to hear from candidate with 5 to 10 years’ experience in Project Scheduling of complex capital projects from design through to construction and commissioning with a successful record in delivery in fast-track environments.

Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills are essential along with a good understanding and experience of project co-ordination & management through the full project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Responsibility for project schedule integrity on a large Data Centre project development.
  • Schedule Development & monitoring of multiple portfolio projects
  • Establish and verify adherence to schedule management, contractual and industry standards as well as project performance to schedule.
  • Work directly with the client schedulers and schedulers from the various general contractors and design-build teams to monitor schedule risk, ensure good practice is employed and be able to offer schedule recovery options
  • Ensure that the site and project schedule integration process has successfully defined integration touch-points between projects.
  • Participant in the weekly or bi-weekly schedules published by the constructor are verified as true and accurate and escalated any assertions for correction if needed
  • Ensure schedule published to comply with contractual requirements and industry-standard quality norms e.g. coding and details as required by contract, schedule logic is complete with proper use of lags and constraints, etc.
  • Ensure project milestone documents are current and that contracted milestones are updated when necessary due to program changes.
  • Summarize weekly the status of in-flight projects giving data-driven assessments and perspective.
  • Conduct scenario (whatif) planning for engineering.
  • Drive continuous process/project improvements.

Qualifications

  • Engineering background with a minimum of 4-6 years planning / scheduling experience
  • Ability to work in a fast paced pressurized environment
  • Strong Scheduling software experience, incl Primavera
  • Experience working on large complex projects.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of English and French or Dutch is an advantage.
