To support one of our client in the railway industry, we are looking for a motivated Power Design Engineer.

Your mission :

  • Calculates electrical or thermal stresses related to all components of the power scheme (use MATLAB, SABER, MATHCAD or CITHEL tools) to meet all customer and standard requirements. Write the corresponding design reports
  • Define interfaces of electrical components with the mechanical department
  • Specify electrical components for traction drives or auxiliary converters (Power electronic components, switchgear, traction motors, passive/active components )
  • Participate in the design review with suppliers
  • Participates in the qualification of the business price and components
  • Specifies the energy requirements to be exported to the control engineer (flow law, torque law, PWM strategy, protection thresholds, ...)
  • Participates in the definition of the power scheme validation tests with the validation engineer
  • Prepare power design reviews according to the DFQ system

Your profile ?

  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering
  • Proficiency in written and oral French. Able to communicate in English.
  • Self-motivated, analytical, team player, good communication skills, time management skills; sense of priorities; hands-on approach, ability to participate in a project.
