The Pre-Sales Engineer (mid-level experience) works closely with the Sales Executives, Account Managers, and Product Experts to develop and deliver timely and effective sales presentations and support all aspects of the Xpertdoc sales process. With a focus on growing the business, the Sales Engineer must have a strong working knowledge of CCM and document technology and a passion to sell our products in compelling ways. He/she will be responsible to contribute to the creation of sales materials, collateral, and presentations as well as play a key role in the product training of the sales team. In addition, the Sales Engineer must have a fundamental knowledge of the sales process, selling concepts and strategies, and be able to thrive in a team selling environment.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Conduct pre-sales and technical demos of the Xpertdoc solution to customers and partners.
- Support the sales team by effectively communicating complex technology and document management solutions to customers using written and oral communications.
- Attend conference calls, conduct webinars and build customer use case demos.
- Build and maintain demo environments / tools to facilitate demo’s for sales executives.
- Provide support to customers during POC and pilot projects, production on-boarding, training, and consulting projects.
- Work with the Sales Executives to establish technical-level rapport with customers during the sales process; research issues and provide creative solutions to the sales team to close business.
- Utilize knowledge of product and industry domains to understand customer needs and help structure proposals.
- Manage the RFP process, getting inputs from services, legal and provide the sales team with supporting documentation.
- Provide training and product/domain expertise to the sales team.
- Create compelling and clearly articulated value propositions to help drive sales. Relate product features as compelling solutions to the customers business challenges.
- Work with product team to deliver technical content for sales materials and presentations.
- Work with the Sales Executives to customize messaging based on each specific client meeting.
- Provide feedback to the technical and support teams on any customer satisfaction issues.
- Attend trade shows and technical conferences as needed.
- Provide content to marketing for use cases.
- Other duties, responsibilities, and qualifications may be required and/or assigned as necessary.
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT/Computer Sciences or Business.
- Strong knowledge of CCM and document technology.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word / Office.
- 7+ years experience with CRM.
- Understanding of DLL, DOCX and XML file formats.
- Proven ability to create customer focused solutions and present to C-level executives.
- Strong written and visual presentation skills.
- English and Dutch language skills.
- Self-starter and proactive with a sense of urgency.
- Basic understanding of corporate governance, budgeting, financials, etc.
- Desire for ongoing learning and understanding of complex topics.
- Ability to work independently – but able to work effectively in a collaborative selling environment.
- Ability to flourish in a highly cross-functional environment.
- Customer focused/ problem/ curiosity/ honest/high integrity.
- Organization/Time Management – highly organized and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, quickly and efficiently while maintaining the highest quality.

Location
You will work from Xpertdoc EMEA HQ in Temse but will also be trained and supported by team members based in Canada and the Netherlands. Your supervisor is located in Canada.
