For our Finance Department in Waregem (Belgium) we are looking for:Procurement Manager Indirect SpendJob Description
  • Monitor purchasing by building, maintaining and improving an effective spend database with volumes, payment terms, contract and supplier information, etc. for TVH global indirect spend (all non- commercial cost categories)
  • Identify indirect category opportunities & develop strategy
  • Ensure savings and added value are tracked and reported
  • Manage indirect purchasing costs by identifying priority categories to improve and drive effective change with the indirect category owners
  • Manage relationship with suppliers, develop new suppliers and manage supplier performance & risk
  • Finalize negotiations and sign contracts within predefined limits and for categories where you are responsible
  • Run periodic benchmark of volumes, pricing, contract parameters
  • Develop and implement sourcing, negotiating and contracting strategies to achieve the desired outcomes aligned with the category strategy for global indirect procurement categories
  • Create awareness throughout the organization enhancing cost conscious behavior of Indirect Spend, and drives improvement
  • Signing contracts up to a specified authority limit & within a category, following TVH delegation rules
  • Setting purchasing guidelines & indirectly managing other Indirect category owners purchasers & managers to comply with the guidelines
YOUR PROFILE
  • Desired education level: Master degree
  • Knowledge of purchasing processes & tools used
  • Desired years of experience: > 5 years of experience as purchaser (preferably in an indirect
    procurement role)
    • Ideally experience in some of the categories covered
    • Fluent English (spoken & written) is a must and good Dutch knowledge
    • Proven negotiation skills for complex contracts and commercial mindset (creating win-wins)
    • Analytical skills & good problem solving skills
    • Excellent organizational and reporting skills
    • Solution & result oriented, continuously looking for improvements
    • Strong leadership & influencing skills: can work with other people from other teams & indirect
      category owners
      • Good sense of responsibility and willingness to take charge
