Procurement Officer– VIE (M/F)

Position based in Belgium - Braine l’Alleud

Duration: 12 months renewable

Mission

Reporting to the Procurement and Property Director, the Procurement Officer analyses, tracks and individually manages all assigned procurement categories throughout all departments in GEFCO NWE (North West) Cluster, including property support. The VIE will support the Procurement manager to manage the selection procedures of suppliers and achieve savings against targets.

You Will Be In Charge Of
  • Managing, organizing, analyzing and coordinating purchase of services / supplies for all branches of GEFCO NWE and assigned categories in the Cluster, according to Procurement and Operating Guidelines
  • Analyzing consumptions and needs of in all categories locally and assigned categories in the Cluster
  • Preparing, organizing and announcing selection procedures
  • Supporting Operations to track performance of individual contracts / suppliers
  • Supporting property management in sourcing, negotiating, contracting and monitoring property costs
  • Managing and transferring all information connected to Procurement
Profil
  • Master’s degree with a specialization in purchasing or business analyst
  • International Transport Market knowledge, a first experience with supply chain will be much appreciated
  • Office 365, especially Excel
  • Ability to negotiate and persuade
  • Customer and results oriented
  • Full proficiency in French and English, Dutch will be an asset
