PRODUCTION ENGINEER FOCUS IN PRE-PROCESS

Job content

• Primary focus will be leading development of manufacturing strategies, delivering best-in-class industrialization processes.
• He/she will be expected to determine the most effective method(s) of processing while improving cycle times, reducing downtime, lowering cost, and driving improvements in overall quality to ensure the continued performance of the process.

• Review and use actively process and documentation Key Performance Indicators to identify improvement opportunities and drive or support activities to increase process and equipment performance, including but not limited to OEE.
• Responsible and accountable as leader or member for manufacturing related activities, projects, and improvements, concerning all kind of categories including but not limited to quality, documentation, CIP, safety, capacity, process flow, new products, and others.
• Document and manage technical issues using the appropriate problem-solving tool set.
• Apply technical knowledge to innovate, design and develop processes, procedures, tooling, and assembly fixtures.
• Work with cross-functional teams to develop, validate, and improve processes used in manufacturing and manufacturability of designs.
• Create and maintain Standard Work Instructions for assigned processes.
• Monitor and audit manufacturing processes to ensure product specifications and standards are achieved.
• Develop and modify line layouts, including material flow, waste reduction, and ergonomics, utilizing Lean Manufacturing best practices.
• Develop and train Process technicians and/or operators.
• Prepare and implement risk management activities, risk assessments and environmental, health and safety assessments in cooperation with the HSE manager in accordance with standards and legal requirements.
• Implement various special tasks and projects assigned by the Leader of the area.
• Maintain and promote 5S and Health & Safety rules throughout the area .
• Define and execute the equipment maintenance program in an efficient and effective manner.
• Respond to unplanned downtime with timely and efficient remedies and repairs.
• Lead resolution of internal quality concerns
• Monitor and the daily production, production of work instructions; and participate in the employee development on the job ( conducting training ).

• +2 years of experience on similar roles preferably within an industrial environment.
• A team player who is stress-resistant and flexible.
• Strong team working skills at all levels of an organization, especially skilled at working with direct labor to understand challenges and work on developing optimal solutions using structured methods.
• Knowledge of quality assurance and productivity tools and methodologies (LEAN, Six Sigma)
• Experience and ability in practical problem avoidance / solving (Six Sigma, 8D, 5Y, FMEA)
• Strong problem-solving ability.
• Proactive, agile personality.
• Knowledge of Software tools (Power BI, SAP, AutoCAD, Sharepoint)
• English language skills required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programs.
• Soft skills: negotiation, assertive communication, critical thinking, leadership, conflict management, problem solving, multitasking, project management.
