Your Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Project Engineer to join our Rotary Drum Dryer team at Atlas Copco. As a Project Engineer, you will report to the Engineering Team Leader and define, initiate and run feasibility projects as your main task. You will therefore play a crucial role in extending our knowledge of the product and have an important role in our future projects, technological roadmap and strategy. In addition, you will work closely with our Digitalization Engineer to contribute to smart machine initiatives, leveraging your passion for digitalization. Contributions to all other running projects is also a part of the job.

Our company specializes in the development of machines crucial for the Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage, and other industries. While our technology is more than 50 years old, we have put a greater focus on developing our newest and patented product, the MDG. To succeed, you will need
Responsibilities:
  • Run feasibility projects to assess the technical and economic viability of potential new products.
  • Work closely with the digitalization engineers in the team to contribute to smart machine initiatives, leveraging your passion for digitalization.
  • Collaborate with the team technology experts to develop and build out the future roadmap of our product line, with a focus on the MDG. In other words, mapping out the projects to start and delivering the key conclusions to initiate industrialization processes.
  • Utilize knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and mechanical engineering to drive innovation in the development of the pruduct line (MD/ND/MDG).
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful development, testing, and launch of the product or concept.
  • Conduct product analysis and testing to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the product development process through digitalization initiatives.
  • Build bridges between different departments, including sales, marketing, and production, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Communicate effectively in English and Dutch to collaborate with colleagues, vendors, and customers.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in project engineering, preferably in the industrial machinery industry is a strong plus.
  • Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and mechanical engineering.
  • Experience with digitalization initiatives and a passion for technology and innovation.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop and maintain timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate in both English and Dutch.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to conduct product analysis and testing to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
